Landscape Archiecture Graduate Program
Admission Requirements
The following information/material is required for consideration for admission:
- On-line completed Application for Admission to the Graduate School on which the student should indicate his/her major as landscape architecture.
- A $50.00 application processing fee payable by Visa or MasterCard. There is no waiver for this fee.
- A complete set of official transcripts of all previously earned credits to be sent directly to the Graduate School.
- Letter of intent explaining educational and professional goals and objectives sent to the Department of Hort/LA.
- Evidence of creative or scholarly ability
- Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers sent directly to the Graduate School.
- Foreign applicants, for whom English is not their first language, must also submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foriegn Language) scores and meet minimum Graduate School requirements (see Graduate School Admission). (Sent directly from the testing agency to University #4705)..
As a general rule, the minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) required for admission is 3.0. Applicants with a GPA less than 3.0 can be admitted if documentation is presented that demonstrates the ability to perform graduate level academic work. Students admitted with a GPA below a 3.0 are not eligible for assistantships.
Applicants are to note on their applications the campus at which they intend to pursue their degree.
